Mario Falchetto
Director of Studies
“We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality.”
My name is Mario, and I am Director of Studies at INNES. I’m responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing every course that takes place, as well as managing the teaching staff and ensuring that you get the most out of your German course.
What can I tell you about myself? Well, I come from an international family, and I speak Swedish at home with my two bilingual kids. I was also a teacher at the university in Prague, which is another beautiful city.
The great part about working at INNES is working in an international environment with a very open-minded and enthusiastic team. We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality, having respect for others and – naturally – having fun.
And, of course, I can recommend a few local secrets for you to make the most out of Vienna. For the best coffee, cornetto, and espresso in town, head to ‘Monte Ofelio’, near Taborstraße. The area between the Lerchenfelderstraße and Josefstädterstraße has tons of great restaurants and bars, and if you’re looking for a young, hip, and international vibe then Yppenplatz is also great.
In my spare time you can find me driving vintage cars – not in Vienna, though – running, and appreciating masterpieces in art museums, especially the Albertina.
If you ask to meet me for a coffee at Monte Ofelio, I might say ‘Schaumamal’. This means ‘let’s see’ or ‘we’ll see’, and the Viennese use it all the time if they’re not sure about something or can’t quite commit to making plans just yet.
My ultimate advice to anyone in Vienna is to not hesitate to have fun!
How do I know my language level? What if I choose the wrong level?
Don’t worry, we’re always here to help! When you sign up and pay for the course, you’ll receive our German Level Test.
Alternatively, you can complete the Level Test before booking your course, just to be on the safe side.
You can also message us directly before signing up and we’ll help you determine your level.
