“I’m always learning something new about our clients by listening to their fascinating stories.”

Nice to meet you! I’m Victoria and I work in the INNES marketing department as a content creator. I write our newsletters, website texts, and blog articles. One of my current tasks is our upcoming podcast project, so stay tuned for that because it’s going to be very exciting. I also regularly visit our German courses to talk to our clients and teachers to find out if they’re satisfied and to gather information or material we can use for our social media.

What I really enjoy about my job is being creative with words and creating new content while interacting with the team and connecting with our clients. I have a wide and diverse range of tasks and I especially appreciate the fact that I’m always learning something new about our clients by listening to their fascinating stories. Teamwork is a key component of how I work with others, and I find that having the opportunity to collaborate and brainstorm with others is very important. After all, two, three or even four brains are better than one.

Lots of people visit the Belvedere Palace when they’re visiting Vienna, but they often miss the Botanical Gardens right next to the Palace, so my advice would be to plan another half an hour into your Belvedere sightseeing trip and also stop by the Botanischer Garten. There are beautiful flowers and exotic plants to discover and it’s a peaceful place to enjoy reading a book surrounded by nature in the middle of the city. Additionally, I can recommend the Augarten for longer walks, and hidden gems like the St. Marxer Friedhof. The Prater and Augarten are idyllic for people like me who love running, but Vienna has so much to offer in terms of culture, too. I like to go to small theatres, concerts, poetry slams and readings in places like the ‘Theater Drachengasse’, ‘Café Korb’, or the ‘Literaturhaus’.

My top three favourite Viennese words would have to be ‘Zwutschkerl’ (a small person), ‘sudern’ (a verb which means to whine), and ‘Grantscherm’ (a grumpy person). I think that if you live in Vienna, you’ll find it hard to ‘sudern’ or be a ‘Grantscherm’, because it’s just so great here!
